Healing Practices
Through this area, we will develop and/or deepen personal and collective healing practices so as to build a strong foundation that can sustain us through the 10,000 joys and 10,000 sorrows of social justice work and of life itself.
With support from the facilitators, participants will determine the nature and frequency of their personal practices, which may be pursued individually, with a partner and/or in a group (groups may be made up of fellow students and/or people outside of the program).
We will also learn about various healing practices and develop our skill-sets through workshops in nutrition & herbs to fortify community health, ancestor work, grief & trauma response techniques, emotional freedom technique ("tapping"), self compassion practice, and more.
